Garric Cellars 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

For 2005 Garric, we continue to source fruit from the same two prestigious Napa Valley vineyards; in Calistoga to the north and in Yountville to the south. We believe the combination of fruit from these two vineyards produce a distinctive wine. The wines are vinified separately and after maturing in barrel, we blend them together to produce what is our definition of a great cabernet. Only the very best lots are used for the final blend.

Tasting Notes

The 2005 vintage is characterized by a long, even growing season and a late harvest of perfectly uniform, ripe fruit. The 2005 Garric reveals a brilliant blue purple color, a floral nose with layers of fruit and spice. On the mouth it is rich, savory and ripe. There is a dark core of espresso surrounded with layers of blueberry, blackberry, black currants and cassis. Classically supple and elegant, this wine is perfectly balanced with a long lingering finish.

We believe the 2005 Garric is our best wine yet!
